This is a contract position with our key client.
In this role, you will be responsible for the inbound logistics related to production parts, bringing them on time, at the low cost, and optimizing the transportation cost.
Responsible for the material master parameters in the ERP system and for the optimum inventory levels.
To be considered for this role, you will have a High School Diploma, along with At least 1-3 years experience in Logistics Management, Inventory control, Procurement or Material Planning environment.
Material Controller Job
Responsibilities:
oReview and release Purchase Orders/Schedule Agreements.
oOversee rework and Non-Conforming Material.
oSet appropriate safety days, stock levels and reorder point through various analysis.
oMonitor inventory accuracy and take corrective action if necessary.
oImplement Actions to secure higher supplier Delivery PrecisionoReviews planning reports, analyzes information, and takes appropriate action to update plan and cover demands.
oReviews supply orders for accuracy and adjusts accordingly prior to distributing to manufacturing and/or suppliers to ensure accuracy of order.
oMaintains activities and techniques required supporting the best procurement methods for parts used in production, and desired inventory levels (such as raw material, work in process) to support corporate inventory turn goals.
oExpedites critical orders to Manufacturing and/or suppliers in response to unplanned demand changes, ensuring quick adaption to need.
oWorks with Manufacturing, Engineering, Purchasing, Order Management, and suppliers to eliminate sources of supply interruptions and/or develop alternative sources of supply.
oCommunicates changes in exceptions to plan to appropriate department members to ensure appropriate parties are informed.
oSupports investigations about manufacturing concerns relating to Bills of Material (BOMs), routings, or print errors.
Reviews information to take corrective action.
oDevelops and implements inventory and lead-time reduction plans to ensure meeting production schedule.
Material Controller Job Requirements:
oHigh School DiplomaoAt least 1-3 years experience in Logistics Management, Inventory control, Procurement or Material Planning environment.
oExperience working within an ERP systemoAbility to read, write, and understand instructions written and communicated in English.
oGood verbal and written communication skills.
