Responsibilities:
Heres what to expect on the job:
Plan instruction & group activities that focus on developing functional, communication and social/recreational skills.
Develop weekly schedules for staff and individuals with an emphasis on individual skill development, personal interests, and community interaction.
Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of Individual Program Plans.
Provide information and assist individuals in self-advocacy and decision making regarding living, work, and social relationships.
Help the individuals in identifying their needs for community supports, and work to initiate community connections.
Research, develop, and maintain community information, and other resources relevant to the needs of the individuals.
Qualifications:
Minimum requirements:
18 years of age A valid drivers license and 6 months driving experience Access to a vehicle with valid insurance, registration, and inspection 6 Months of previous Caregiving, Direct Support Professional or Direct Care Worker Experience A team player who can be flexible with their schedule Ability to communicate, read, write, and understand the English language Preferred, but not required:
