Trust Operations Specialist II

Under the direction of the Trust Operations Manager, the individual will performopening and maintenance of Trust Accounts and other duties which supportgeneral trust functions which may relate to the asset movement and operationalsupport of the department.
Highschool diploma or equivalent.
Minimumthree(3) year of experience in banking or financial services preferred.
Proficientreading, verbal and written communication, mathematical, computer andinterpersonal relations skills; valid driver's license.
Process the opening of new trustaccounts, cross referencing name and address record for statements and 1099reporting, once account opening packets have been checked for completeness anda Customer Information File (CIF) check has been run by the Fiduciary Officer;create tickler record on the Charlotte Software System for administrativereview of the new account; process account maintenance requests; establishinternet access for clients.
Process daily custody settlementwith Bank of New York, Federal Reserve and Matrix to include all trades and theposting of interest and dividend paid on behalf of clients; process incomingand outgoing physical certificates via Bank of New York according to custodyguidelines; complete monthly reconcilement for Bank of New York and Federal Reserveassets; respond to Bank of New York Capital Markets change notices by deadlineprovided in the notice after consultation with the Investment Team; processForward Funds platform daily incoming and outgoing trades and associated wires.
Track incoming assets for new orexisting accounts; deliver outgoing securities for closing accounts; processrelated transactions on the Charlotte system; allocate trades placed by theInvestment Team on the Charlotte system according to trade ticket.
Assist the Investment teamby processing Investment Policy Statements (IPSs); scan documents to the IPSfolder in the Trust Department folder; date track changes to the Charlottesystem notifying the Investment team of the changes; assist the Investment Teamby processing client authorizations



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
