Roxbury is a unique inpatient facility offering acute psychiatric, detoxification, and rehab services for adults. We also offer an?inpatient psychiatric program?for adolescents that is designed to treat youth ages 13-17 in a caring and nurturing environment. Our medical team is composed of board eligible/certified psychiatrists, PAs/CRNPs, and nurses that provide close medical monitoring and the highest quality of care to our patients.


We are currently recruiting an RN Nurse Manager.? This position helps lead all of our nursing and mental health staff on the acute psychiatric units, as well as the chemical dependency unit.??The Nurse Manager has 24 hour a day, seven days a week responsibility for treatment services provided by the nursing department. Primary responsibilities include: providing administrative management, training and supervision/evaluation of all nursing staff, house supervisors, and unit clerks (if applicable); prioritization and delegation of duties; staff scheduling; and performing direct patient care services in the Nursing capacity. This individual serves as a key member of hospital operational leadership and must work in cooperation with physician staff and other department managers.

Education:?????????????????????????????


Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program required, with a degree in psychiatric or mental health nursing or its equivalent preferred; or is qualified by education and experience in the care of the mentally ill. Prefer 3 years experience with a co-occurring population.


Knowledge:????????????????????????????


Must possess knowledge of dual diagnosis/chemical dependency/mental health patients; age-specific patient issues, limit setting and behavior management, crisis prevention and intervention techniques; medical criteria for acceptance/exclusion of patients; all nursing knowledge and responsibilities for the sub-acute, residential, and hospital setting; working knowledge of infection control practices; knowledge and comprehension of regulatory agency standards (DOH, DPW, CMS, Joint Commission, etc.); staff development procedures and requirements; ability to communicate orally, telephonically, and in writing; working knowledge of computer systems and various software; must maintain certification CPR, Verbal De-Escalation, and Handle With Care. Must possess good interpersonal skills and the ability to be a team player. Good documentation, organization and time management skills are necessary. Must be effective in decision-making and problem solving.


Physical Requirements:?????????


Must have physical agility to manage patients. Push, pull and lift up to 40 pounds. Intermittent sitting, standing, walking, bending and stooping. Drug and alcohol free as evidenced by negative results of post-offer, pre-employment urine drug screen. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
